Salvage and Remediation work begins at Beaver Hollow
On June 21st of last year, a straight-line wind skipped across the Bayfield peninsula causing damage at Beaver Hollow. Salvage and remediation work has begun.

Wildlife Species Moving North
As our winter temperatures continue to warm, southern species like possums and southern flying squirrels will continue to move north to the Bayfield area.

Tree Planting Spring 2026
The Friends' North Pikes Creek Wetlands 5-year forest improvement project is made possible by the dedicated work of an extraordinary group of community volunteers who care about the continued health of our forests and waters.
Proactively Addressing EAB
Emerald ash borer (EAB) was first identified in Bayfield County in April of 2022, in a Bayfield city park located just 4 miles from Beaver Hollow. Since its initial detection in southeastern Wisconsin in 2008, EAB has now been reported in all 72 counties of the state
