We are sorry for any inconvenience. We hope you are able to join us at Beaver Hollow on the 22nd for this intriguing program.
The Chequamegon Bay area has been host to some strange and exotic wild birds in recent years, some traveling over oceans, icebergs, and continents to reach us. Join us on Wednesday, July 22nd as Rick Burkman discusses these visitors, where they came from, why they are here, and how you may be the one to discover the next weird species in your neighborhood!
Rick is a sometimes writer who became fascinated with birds when he was 5 years old. In the past 25 years he has indulged his fantasy by writing over 100 articles about birds and the natural world for local, regional, and national publications. Along the way he has been lucky enough to follow researchers into mosquito infested swamps, trudge through thigh deep snow with windchills in the double digits below zero, and watch lots and lots of birds from his office window.
