Outdoors for All

Beaver Hollow is welcoming, inclusive, safe, and accessible for everybody.

In July of each year, America celebrates the passage of the Americans with Disabilities Act. The Friends organization believes that a lack of accessibility should not be a barrier to those who want to get outside in nature. Beaver Hollow was designed to ensure that people of all ages and physical abilities can spend time outdoors in an unspoiled natural environment.

Additionally, Beaver Hollow is listed as a Birdability site. The National Audubon Society sponsors the Birdability website to share information on the accessibility of parks, hiking trails, and birding locations. The site includes a Birdability Map that gives people access to information on the accessibility of birding locations to help them decide if a location is one they would like to visit.

Beaver Hollow, located at 88850 Compton Road, Bayfield, is a great place to walk, enjoy nature, birdwatch, picnic, attend a program, or bring the kids and grandkids. When you visit, be sure and bring your binoculars so you won’t miss that bird!
