Kiosk

Kiosk Completed at Beaver Hollow

The Friends are pleased to announce the completion of an informational/interpretive kiosk at their Beaver Hollow Outdoor Education Area. The kiosk is located just inside the pedestrian gate, along the accessible walkway that leads into Beaver Hollow. The kiosk project was funded in part by a generous donation from the Natural Resources Foundation of Wisconsin’s C.D. Besadny Conservation Fund. The universally accessible kiosk features:

  • a map of the newly established one-acre Beaver Hollow Outdoor Education Area, and information on its use,
  • a map and information on the Friends of the North Pikes Creek Wetlands Conservation Area property,
  • information on the history and cultural significance of this wetland area,
  • information on the wide variety of plants and animals you may see on your visit,
  • a display thanking our donors and volunteers who made the Friends’ land acquisition and the Beaver Hollow Outdoor Education Area initiative possible,
  • and a changing display of information, activities, and community submitted photos.

A donation post was installed so you can contribute to- or even join- the Friends’ organization when you’re visiting Beaver Hollow! Your donations help us continue our work to complete the planned Beaver Hollow infrastructure. We are currently fundraising for a small restroom facility and Phase II of the boardwalk project, both of which we hope to install next spring.
