The Friends received a generous grant award from The Norma & Stanley DeBoer Quiet Trails Fund of the Natural Resources Foundation of Wisconsin for additional interpretive signage at Beaver Hollow.

New Interpretive Signs Installed
Walk the boardwalk and the Leopold Loop trail at Beaver Hollow and see the new interpretive signs!
The Friends organization was pleased to receive a generous grant from the Biodiversity Fund of the Duluth Superior Area Community Foundation. This funding allowed the Friends to add this attractive 2’x3′ informational sign, which was installed last week on the platform at the end of the boardwalk. The sign is located in a wetland ecosystem, where many of the species highlighted on the sign can be observed.
The Friends also purchased an additional thirteen 6″x11″ educational signs and added them along the boardwalk and the Leopold Loop trail. These informational signs enhance the educational experience for Beaver Hollow visitors of all ages.
