Tom Frizzell Memorial Boardwalk Dedication
“Everybody needs beauty as well as bread,
places to play in and pray in,
where nature may heal and give strength to body and soul.”
~John Muir
The boardwalk at Beaver Hollow was dedicated to Thomas D. Frizzell on July 11, 2021. Tom is fondly remembered by his friends for his passion for the environment and the outdoors. He loved the North Pikes Creek forested wetland habitat, and he spent many hours hunting, trapping, fishing, and hiking there with his red setter companions. Tom’s extensive experience and love of this area was unequalled, and he was known for sharing this unique knowledge with others. When the nonprofit Friends of the North Pikes Creek Wetlands was being formed, Tom was more than willing to share his expertise and help guide the new organization. Tom served as a valued advisor and founding board member of the Friends. There is no more fitting tribute to Tom than to dedicate the boardwalk in his name, at the wetlands he loved.
