2024 Annual Membership Meeting on October 10th
Join us on Thursday, October 10th, at the South Shore Brewery Taphouse in Washburn at 5:30 pm for the Friends’ Annual Membership meeting. Free pizza and beer will be served. The 2024 annual membership meeting will be held, followed by a presentation by Brian Heeringa, Wildlife Biologist for the Washburn Ranger District of the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest. Brian will give an update on the ongoing sharp-tailed grouse reintroduction and habitat improvement project at the Northwest Sands management area.
Members are encouraged to attend and help guide the Friends’ work to protect the wetlands and forests of North Pikes Creek, and to make recommendations for 2025 activities and speakers.
If you are not a member, or your membership has lapsed, you may join the Friends’ organization at the meeting.
