Friends of the North Pikes Creek Wetlands Conservation Property
Regulations for Public Use, Hunting, and Trapping

The Friends of the North Pikes Creek Wetlands (FNPCW), a nonprofit conservation and education organization, has opened its Conservation Property to the public for nature-based recreational activities, including public hunting and trapping. The following regulations are necessary to protect the property’s conservation values and to ensure that all users are fairly accommodated:

Property Visitors:

  • The Conservation property is open to foot traffic only. No motorized vehicle use of any type is permitted.
  • Please take your trash with you when you leave.
  • All dogs on the property must be leashed and under the control of the owner, and must not interfere with the permitted activities of other property visitors.
  • Cutting of trees, brush, or vegetation is not permitted.

Hunters:

  • Hunting, with modest landowner restrictions, is permitted in accordance with all rules and regulations of the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources.
  • All hunting stands, blinds and structures are for day-use only, and must be removed from the property when not occupied. All structures must exhibit the name and contact information of the owner. Failure to abide by these conditions will result in structures being removed by the FNPCW.
  • No individual, or group, may have exclusive use of any part of the Friends’ property.
  • Written permission from the FNPCW is required for the mounting of any wildlife, game, or trail cameras.

Trappers:

Contact the Friends at info@northpikescreek.org with questions about these regulations.
