WAYS TO SUPPORT OUR MISSION

You Can Protect Important Wetland Habitat

Join the Friends of the North Pikes Creek Wetlands and be part of an energized community of people determined to protect an important wetland, and to create a wetland education area.  Your donation will help fund the Friends’ wetland conservation and education efforts. Become a member, or donate to the Friends, and know you are doing your part to protect a unique, irreplaceable habitat.

Donate online with a credit card or PayPal. Please note if you would like to dedicate your donation in memory or honor of a special person.

Join, Renew, or Donate by mail

You can download a mail-in membership/donation form. Indicate on the form if you wish to dedicate your donation in memory or honor of a special person.

Make a Gift of Securities

Donating stocks or mutual funds is an easy way to support the Friends’ mission. Please contact the Friends and we’ll send you a form you can provide your broker or financial adviser.

Donate directly from your IRA

If you are 73 years old, you may be able to donate directly from your IRA without incurring a tax liability. Contact your accountant or financial advisor to find out if a Qualified Charitable Distribution is advantageous for you.

VOLUNTEER

Support the Friends of the North Pikes Creek Wetlands with Your Skills

The Friends is a nonprofit, grass-roots organization, and volunteers are central to this community project. There are numerous ways that you can contribute your time and skills to support the Friends’ mission. Email us to volunteer, or to learn more about the Friends’ 2025 projects.

  • Participate in projects at the Conservation Property, such as trail clearing, tree planting, garden maintenance, or infrastructure maintenance.
  • Assist with duck and bird box building and installation.
  • Volunteer for a yard work session; mowing, edge trimming, tree trimming, weeding, and sign and bench cleaning.
  • Help with speaker and community outreach events – from baking cookies to event set up and take-down.
  • Offer to present a program at Beaver Hollow, or volunteer to lead an outing or activity.
  • Participate in citizen-based monitoring.
  • Contact us with your creative ideas.
