As the wintering cranes from the Southwest U.S. and Mexico move north on a migration path shaped like an hour glass\, they converge upon a 70-mile stretch of river before fanning out again to continue on to their breeding grounds as far as Canada\, Alaska\, and even Siberia. The Platte River is a unique ecosystem that provides an important stopover site to rest and refuel on their journey\, which can be thousands of miles. \nMichalesko\, who is a professional photographer\, will share photos and videos from the ‘Platte’.
