Bill Volkert, The Great Blue Heron: Life History, Research and Management, June 28, 2 pm

Bill Volkert, renowned naturalist and educator, and one of the foremost authorities on the Great Blue Heron in the Midwest, is coming back to Beaver Hollow this year to present a program titled, “The Great Blue Heron; Its Life History, Research and Management,” on Wednesday, June 28 at 2 pm, at the Beaver Hollow pavilion. Volkert will introduce the entire family of herons and egrets and then focus on the great blue heron. He’ll share highlights of his work at Wisconsin’s largest rookery at Horicon Marsh. The event will repeat at 7 pm.
